• Question: Will humans ever be able to run faster than 9 seconds?

      I think it’s possible. Bolt managed to shave off 0.11 seconds to get the current record of 9.58 seconds for the 100 metre sprint, which is quite a difference. The first time the 10 second barrier was broken was in 1968, so it’s taken a long time to get from 10 to 9.58 seconds.

      The way we approach sport and training is becoming more scientific, so I think advances in these areas will help to make better athletes.

      I can run faster than 9 seconds. I just cover less distance 🙂
