0 Question: Why do cats always land on their feet? Keywords: animal, cat Asked by scientistj11 to Asif, Laura, Lena, Sean, Viv on 14 Mar 2012.
Laura Waters answered on 14 Mar 2012:
They don’t! It depends what height they fall from. Please don’t try and prove it with a real cat!
Sean Murphy answered on 14 Mar 2012:
The cat righting reflex is a cat’s innate ability to orient itself as it falls in order to land on its feet. As Laura said, this only works at short distances!
