It is all around us all the time. Some is in us, some in the air, some in the sky as clouds, some in the ground as rivers and some in the sea. It just cycles through all those on a regular basis. When you drink water just think it has been through that cycle many times before!

We are lucky that the earth has so much water, as we all need it to live. Life on earth seems to have developed at the end of a period where the earth was bombarded with many comets, some 3.8 billion years ago. One theory states that water on earth may have been brought from space via many icy comets.
