There is no ‘missing link’. We evolved over so many stages that there is not one particular link missing, there are LOADS of small gaps but no major ONE gap.

What IS the missing link? There are a few missing links in the fossil record. We might find them one day or we might not – the conditions are not always right to make fossils.

The ‘missing link’ is a non-scientific term used by some people use to try and disprove evolution. While we do not know every detail of how humans evolved, we do know enough to demonstrate that humans have evolved and we are able to describe various stages of our evolution using things like DNA and the fossil record. Some people will highlight certain things that we do not currently know and try to use that as evidence that everything we know about evolution is wrong.
