      The skin printer wasn’t my idea, because this is a project that has been underway for many years. It began when a few scientists modified a standard inkjet printer to try and print mouse heart cells. See video below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeJPBuBEJ50
      When I started working on the printer, we were up to the second prototype and my job was to prove that it could be useful in the clinic as well as in the laboratory. Most scientific research is conducted by large teams of people working on an idea for many years.
