      I think it is. But not entirely. Some personality traits are inherited but others are a result of your upbringing. You might copy certain characteristics from your parents.

      Yes, it is very difficult to determine the effect of genes vs nurture. I think nurture can overcome genes in most cases.

      I think your parents may influence your personality as we copy them when we are young. My friend in shy and she has shy children, another friend is very loud and she has very confident children.
