You could become depressed if someone breaks your heart which can have an effect on your health, but I don’t think it can lead to death. Time heals all… Hang in there. 🙂

It depends what you mean by broken heart. Cardiovascular disease is on of the biggest killers in the world. If you are talking about emotional damage caused by a breakup, then I don’t think it can directly cause death. As Lena said, a broken heart is a condition that heals itself naturally over time.

Grief can be a powerful human emotion. We are yet to understand the connections between the brain and the body. I think emotion is impossible to understand as it is different for everyone.
