I think that Science cannot answer this question….But religions can answer it…..The Big Bang Theory points towards the “Creator of this Universe”….

This is a great question but for the time being we can’t give a straight answer.

A lot of scientific evidence points towards the big bang being the origin of everything we observe and experience, starting at least 13.7 billion years ago. A good explanation can be found at the NASA web site (http://map.gsfc.nasa.gov/universe/).

Unfortunately no body knows what happened to start the process off. There are plenty of theories. One suggestion is that actually many universes exist in parallel and ours was created by two of them interacting (http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2010/02/what-came-before-the-big-bang-leading-physicists-present-a-radical-theory-weekend-feature.html).

Very good question! We currently do not know why the big bang happened, but a theory by a world famous physicist called Steven Hawking says that occurred due to the existence of gravity. He published this theory in a book called ‘The Grand Design’.

The Big Bang Theory was actually a long time before Earth was created. Loads of time passed before planet Earth formed.
No-one knows what caused the Big Bang but that’s a good thing as you guys can be the sceinetists of the future who find stuff out!

      Well… That IS the question.

I have no idea. But lots of physicists are working on it…
