• Question: If a tree falls in a forest and there is no-one there to hear it, did it make a sound?

      The sound waves would still be created so, yes, there would be a sound. There would just be nobody there to hear it.

      It has been argued that it makes waves but sound occurs when the waves hit an ear drum, so maybe they don’t.
