      About 5 litres. Not much, is it?

      5 litres. But the human body has the ability to replace upto 500ml of blood. This is stored in spleen. Thats why it is healthy for adults to donate blood

      I try and donate blood often, we can regenerate it but it takes a while and a bit of energy. Scientists are working on generating blood in the lab using stem cells. If successful we will never need blood donations again!
