Question: How do scientists learn about plants that are extinct?

When studying extinct plans or animals the most important factor is the visualization of that animal or plant’s shape. We can determine this using fossils. Plant fossils are harder to find that animals, but do occur when plants get embedded in hard rock and stone. We can also study ancient DNA that we find in fossils and determine the relationship between extinct plants and their living relatives.
