• Question: How can science be used to avert the possibility of wars and tyranny

      Very good question. While science is a tool that can be used for good or evil, I think it can be used to produce more food and water for everyone to avoid war. Another example is how mobile phones/facebook/twitter was used recently to help overthrow some dictators in the middle east.

      Science can solve a lot of world problems but it has made a few even worse in the past. Especially, the use of chemicals in the wars. I hope we learn from the past and try and use science to help make the world around us better for everyone.

      By educating people in the sciences we could concentrate more on solving the worlds problems, like the lack or food, water and energy. The underlying causes of most wars are a result of the scarcity of these resources.
