• Question: How are we going to cope with the world's burgeoning population?

      Good question. We need a lot more food if we are going to support everyone. So, scientists have to figure out how we can grow more food on less land and make it pest and drought proof. Tricky to do all of that!

      The other thing we need is stable politics allowing to food to be grown locally or distributed.

      The world’s growing population is already a huge problem. I agree with both Laura and Viv – we need more food and the facilities to be able to grow it. We’ll also need a lot more energy which is also sustainable. We all really need to concentrate on this, pull together and stop fighting unnecessary wars.

      Good question! The problem is that we are not coping at the moment, there are millions of people living in poverty around the world due to lack of resources. The key to controlling the population is providing eduction to both men and women, and allowing access to cheap contraceptive methods. People should only have children if they want to.
