You definitely have to be dedicated to be a scientist or a doctor. You have to put a lot of time and energy into studying. But if you enjoy it, it’s not so hard.

I’m not a great believer in IQ tests, though. I don’t think they’re a good measure of intelligence. Having said that, you do need to do quite well in science and maths in order to be able to study the science subjects and medicine.

I have never done an IQ test because I would not want to face the embarrassment of discovering that I have a Ph.D. in physics at a low IQ.

I certainly would not call myself a genius although I needed to have a logical way of thinking about the world and an enjoyment of working things out in order to do physics.

There is a famous saying that i like to quote here …..”Success is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration”………For achieving anything in the world you need 3 things…1. Hard work….2…Hard Work ….3….Only and Only hardwork…..So Whatever you want to achieve in the world, you can just by hard work….. Thats what i did and thats what i intend to do in future…….. By the way I am a medical doctor as well as a Scientist with a totally ordinary/normal I.Q

I agree that working hard is the most important thing to do if you want to be a scientist or a doctor. Some people may take a bit longer to learn something than others, but if they stick to it and ask lots of questions they can be successful in anything they try to do. If you want to be a scientist or a doctor you need to work hard and never give up trying.

I agree too. You have to work hard, especially hard to keep on going. I don’t think it is related to IQ though as an IQ test only tests one aspect of you.
