• Question: Can you breath in liquid oxygen? Does it have to be stored under really cold conditions or pressure? Will it ever be possible?

      Oxygen becomes a liquid at 90Kelvin (-183 degrees centigrade) so I really wouldn’t recommend breathing it

      No we cant. It has to be first converted into gas cz 1. its too cold, 2. Our lung dont allow liguid exchange across the Alveoli…. However it could be transported in the liquid state under pressure …..

      I doubt it would ever be possible but then never say never!

      We can make oxygen a liquid, either by making it really cold (-183 degrees centigrade), or under really high pressure (or both). Either of these things are really bad for our lungs. I wouldn’t advise it.
